A QIMA product inspection ensures that your manufacturing process and products meet your desired specifications and requirements. Learn how we help you maintain high quality standards.
Suppliers run their own quality checks — but their quality team's job is to keep production moving and secure final payment, not to surface problems that could delay your shipment or reduce their margin. The approved sample your supplier sent before production started bears no legal relationship to what ends up on the container. By the time a production batch arrives at your warehouse, the leverage you had to demand corrections or renegotiate terms is gone.
A defect caught during production costs you a rework instruction. The same defect caught by your customer costs you a return, a complaint, a review, and in some categories a regulatory recall that stays searchable permanently. Major retailers and e-commerce platforms operate their own compliance audits — a quality failure doesn't just cost you a sale, it can cost you the account. The brands that avoid these outcomes don't rely on their suppliers' assurances — they put an independent inspector on the factory floor before the goods ship.
Inspector onsite within 48 hours — modify or cancel up to the day before: Book through myQIMA and a QIMA inspector is on your factory floor within 48 hours. If production shifts, reschedule or cancel right up to the day before — no fees, no friction. Your inspection programme adapts to your production timeline, not the other way around.
Independent inspectors with no interest in the outcome: QIMA inspectors are employed directly by QIMA — not by your supplier, not by a local agent working supplier relationships. Their job is to report what they find, not to keep production moving. That independence is what makes the report worth having.
Same-day reports with photos, accessible immediately in myQIMA: Your inspection report is delivered the same day, with photos of every defect found and a clear pass/fail against your checklist. Accessible instantly through your online QIMA account — no waiting for the supplier to forward anything.
Global coverage across 100+ countries from a single partner: QIMA operates inspection programmes across Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America — wherever your suppliers are. One platform, one relationship, consistent standards regardless of production location.
Ranked #1 for customer satisfaction in the TIC industry: QIMA is ranked #1 in the Testing, Inspection and Certification industry for customer satisfaction, based on independent NPS measurement.

QIMA offers an intelligent online platform to help you seamlessly manage your quality control and global supply network.
Easily book, cancel, or reschedule inspections, make payments, or download your inspection reports with just a few clicks. We also provide a customizable dashboard with all your quality control data, so you can identify trends and make informed decisions in real time.

Step 1 — Book your inspection and choose your stage: Select the inspection type that fits your production timeline — Initial Production Check (IPC) to catch issues early, During Production Check (DUPRO) to monitor progress, Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) before final payment, or Container Loading Check (CLC) before goods leave the factory. Book through myQIMA and a QIMA inspector is confirmed onsite within 48 hours.
Step 2 — Set your checklist: QIMA provides an off-the-shelf checklist for your product category, covering specifications, dimensions, function, appearance, performance, and workmanship. Add your own requirements or build a fully custom checklist if needed. Your checklist is confirmed before the inspector goes onsite — no surprises on the day.
Step 3 — Independent inspection at your factory: On the agreed date, your QIMA inspector arrives at the factory and independently selects a sample using the internationally recognised ANSI / ASQ Z1.4 (ISO 2859-1) and using acceptable quality limit (AQL) sampling standard — not units provided by your supplier. Each unit in the sample is evaluated against your checklist, with photos taken of every defect or non-conformity found.
Step 4 — Same-day report in myQIMA: Your inspection report is delivered the same day, accessible immediately in your QIMA account. It includes photos of every defect, pass/fail results per checklist item, AQL measurements, and an overall result. No waiting for the factory to send their version.
Step 5 — Act on the findings: A pass gives you documented evidence of quality before final payment and shipment. A fail gives you independent evidence to require corrections from your supplier before settling. If the result is borderline, QIMA's team can advise on corrective actions — and you can book a follow-up inspection once they're made.

Not necessarily. The right frequency depends on your supplier's track record, product risk level, and your quality programme. QIMA advisors can help you design an inspection plan — whether that's every shipment, random sampling, or risk-based scheduling.
Your inspector will document every defect with photos and root-cause notes. You'll receive a detailed corrective action report so you can work with your supplier to resolve issues before shipment. QIMA offers re-inspection once corrective actions are complete.

Yes. QIMA inspectors are employed by QIMA — not by the factory or local agent. They follow standardised checklists, and all reports are reviewed by a QIMA quality manager before delivery. You can also view inspector assignment and credentials inside the QIMA platform.
QIMA reports are accepted by major global retailers, importers, and brands. Our inspectors follow AQL sampling standards and QIMA-certified procedures. If your buyer has specific report format requirements, let us know at the time of booking.
